13th November - resonate

The mobile I take pictures with is broken at the moment, but here are few old pictures (from a visit to Yorkshire Dales with my sister last year) to bright up this page!:

Wake up at 17.27 which gives enough time for the PoDN, an email check with a cup of coffee and a visit to the shop, before going for the night shift. Fine!

At the end of the night shift I remember my father who assisted by my sister must be now preparing/traveling to the Mikołów hospital to stay at the rehabilitation unit. This is good news!

After work, do pretty much usual stuff, plus 30 minutes of guitar:

Begin with a relaxation exercise without the instrument.

Then relax into: holding the the guitar ... tuning ... the position of readiness of the right hand ... metronome ... first note.

Today I practice all strings cross-picking exercise the Vienna Circle worked with recently. I was inspired after reading its description on Richard's journal.

The metronome is at 80 BPM. Practice one note every:

2 beats
1.5 beat
1 beat
1.5 beat
2 beats
4 beats

Play the last round without the metronome and complete with all strings chord. I play it few times allowing notes to ring, and listen ...

Comments:

About 20 minutes into the practice there's a sound of incoming email. I say stop to the impulse of checking it.

This session was exactly what I needed, still, it required some effort. This therapeutic aspect of guitar practice was very much at work today.

I acknowledged the Vienna Team and the larger GC circle - this was very supportive.

And from the AAD course application sent tomorrow:

My prime aim is to do what is needed.

The other aims are:

- to deepen the healthy & playful relationship with the guitar and to learn from it.
- to make a good use of the learning opportunities the course provides.
- to prepare for the changes in my personal life and prepare for the OCG Course in February in Spain.

It's 11.43 am. Soon to sleep...
